- in a wok heat oil
- add
- 3-4 pieces of cloves
- 1 piece cinnamon
- 1 piece star anise ("flower")
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 large onion chopped
- 2 green chillies
- after onion is cooked a bit, add, and fry for a few minutes
- handful of crushed/chopped mint leaves
- 1/2 cup grean peas
- 1/4 spoon haldi (turmeric powder)
- 1/4 spoon garam masala
- wash 2 cups of rice, then add with 4 cups of water
- add 2 spoons salt
- transfer into rice cooker and leave to cook
Palak Pulao
Instead of mint leaves and green peas, add a bowlful of chopped spinach.
