- soak in water for 2 hours:
- 2 cups rice
- 1 spoon methi (fenugreek seeds)
- add a handful of poha (rice flakes)
- grind in batches in blender with little water
- in a large bowl add
- 1/2 cup crushed jaggery
- 1 spoon salt
- blended mixture on top
- lightly mix but leave the jaggery at the bottom
- preheat oven and turn off
- leave to ferment at midday until next morning
- mix the batter until the jaggery is completely mixed
- fry on pan as usual
